Kijoshu is an alcoholic beverage developed by the National Tax Agency to entertain state guests. Hanahato Sake Brewery was the first private company to produce Kijoshu. Because the brewery has been making Kijoshu for a long time, the 8 Year Old Kijoshu shows a high level of perfection.

*Kijoshu is Japanese sake made by using some alcohol instead of water to accentuate its sweetness.

試飲チームの評価

  • Nobuhiro Ueno
(Mature and Warm Bar Master / Toki SAKE Association Executive Director)

The best time to drink is after a meal. The aromatic aroma of caramelized brown sugar hints at sweetness. When you take a sip, the soft sweetness that you imagined will fill your mouth, and the aroma and aroma will gently envelop you.
Feel even more satisfied after eating. It would be interesting to pair it with dessert if possible.

  • Hidekazu Ishiwata
(Former National Tax Bureau Chief Appraiser)

A heavy aged aroma reminiscent of caramel and Shaoxing wine.
Good balance of sweetness and acidity, with hints of honey and dried fruit. Rich flavor and elegant aftertaste.
The most attractive point is the rich flavor and sweet and sour taste.

  • Akiko Toda
(Director of ITTEKI, Japan Sake and Meat Research Institute)

Smells like roasted almonds and walnuts. The sweet and sour taste of concentrated prunes is well-balanced and pleasant.
It has a bitterness and sourness similar to lightly roasted coffee, giving it a sweet but elegant impression. I want to enjoy it as an after-dinner drink.

  • Yuji Yamauchi
(Yushima Tenjinshita Sushi Hatsu 4th generation / 1st JSA SAKE DIPLOMA competition winner)

The scent of soy sauce, kelp, grain vinegar, and rice crackers. The second sip is better than the first. The condensed feeling of plum jam is enjoyable.
A liquid that combines depth, acidity, and sweetness at a high level. I want to put it on ice cream
